New in Winchester Repeating Arms’ Super X3 line of semi-auto shotguns for 2012 are the Black Field and Black Field Compact models. Both models feature a satin oil finish walnut stock with classic cut checkering, traditional brass front sight bead, and matte black receivers in strong lightweight aluminum alloy. Barrels feature 3” chrome-plated chambers and bore with the Invector Plus choke system, which produces reliable, consistent patterns.
The SX3 Black Field will be offered in 12 and 20 gauges with 26” or 28” barrels.
The SX3 Black Field Compact will feature stock dimensions that are trimmed for smaller-frame shooters and hunters with a 13” length of pull. Now youth, ladies and shooters with smaller frames can be out in the field or on the range with a high-quality shotgun that fits them right. It will also be offered in 12 and 20 gauges with 26” and 28” barrels.
Average weight for 12 gauge models is 6 ¾ lbs. and average weight for 20 gauge models is 6 ½ lbs.
Both SX3 Black Field models feature the active valve gas system that allows them to cycle a wide range of loads while reducing felt recoil. Pachmayr Decelerator Recoil Pads also help to reduce felt recoil. The drop out trigger assembly allows for easy cleaning and the ambidextrous safety is easily reversible.
MSRP: $1,069.99
