Just out from Gamo is “The Cannon,” a .25 caliber, single-shot, break-barrel air rifle that is the newest addition to their “Hunter Extreme” series.
Make no mistake, this is a heavyweight package. With Gamo’s PBA ammo, the rifle is capable of 1,000 fps velocities; with conventional lead pellets it will still reach 750 fps. It weighs in at 10.5 pounds with the supplied 3-9x50 scope, and the cocking effort required is 58 pounds—this is no training gun. Features include a precision rifled, steel jacketed bull barrel, beech hardwood stock, automatic cocking safety, and an adjustable trigger that comes factory-set at 4.5 pounds. Overall length is 45.8 inches, barrel length is 18 inches, and a ventilated recoil pad is included.
The scope features a glass-etched reticle and an RGB illuminated center dot -- a system that allows multiple brightness and size settings of a floating red, green or blue dot for shooting under various light conditions.
